Leadership Los Alamos is accepting nominations for the 2025 Leadership Awards. To nominate someone for one of the following awards, please complete the form below by April 13, 2025. You can submit up to three (3) letters of support for your nominee by emailing them to leadershiplosalamos@gmail.com.

THE DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS AWARD

 The Distinguished Alumnus Award is awarded to a Leadership Los Alamos graduate whose leadership activities exemplify the highest standards of leadership and achieved community significance.  This award:

  • Recognizes and promotes community involvement and provides incentives for the continued application of leadership skills.

  • Recognizes a Leadership Los Alamos Alumnus who has used his or her leadership skills, knowledge, and resources to benefit Los Alamos.

  • Serves as an example of leadership for others.

  • Elevates awareness of the benefits dynamic leadership brings to the community.

Only Leadership Los Alamos Alumni are eligible to receive this award.  No self-nominations please. Nominees should be individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership that has resulted in a significant positive impact to the community and quality of life for Los Alamos citizens. The recipient must have demonstrated dynamic leadership skills in multiple settings and achieved extraordinary success in the goals they set out to accomplish.

THE DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD

The Distinguished Leadership Award is to recognize an individual or group who has used his or her leadership abilities to improve the quality of life for Los Alamos citizens and future generations.  This award:

  • Recognizes and promotes community involvement and provides incentives for the continued application of leadership skills.

  • Recognizes an individual who has used his or her leadership skills, knowledge, and resources to benefit the Los Alamos community.

  • Serves as an example of leadership for others.

  • Elevates awareness of the benefits dynamic leadership brings to the community.

Only Leadership Los Alamos Alumni may nominate someone to receive this award. Nominees should be individuals who live or work in Los Alamos, other than a Leadership Los Alamos graduate, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership that has resulted in a significant impact to the community and quality of life for Los Alamos citizens. The recipient must have demonstrated dynamic leadership skills in multiple settings and achieved extraordinary success in the goals they set out to accomplish.

THE NEXTGEN LEADERSHIP AWARD

 The NextGen Leadership Award aims to celebrate, inspire, and empower young leaders, recognizing their achievements, motivating others, and fostering a culture of leadership and community engagement among youth. This award:

  • Recognizes and celebrates the efforts and achievements of young leaders who have demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities.

  • Inspires other young leaders to actively engage in leadership roles within their peer groups and communities.

  • Highlights the positive impact that young leaders can have on their peers, communities, and society at large.

  • Empowers young individuals to continue their leadership journey with confidence and determination.

Only Leadership Los Alamos Alumni are eligible to nominate candidates for this award. Nominees must be youth residents of Los Alamos between the ages of 13-18 years old, who possess strong leadership skills, including effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. They must have made a notable impact within their peer groups, community, or a specific cause, demonstrating initiative, creativity, and innovation in addressing challenges or opportunities.

 Nominated individuals should consistently display commitment and dedication to their leadership roles, effectively collaborating with others and empowering their peers while promoting inclusivity and diversity. Additionally, nominees should have achieved significant accomplishments or milestones in their leadership journey, all while upholding strong moral character, integrity, and ethical behavior.

Award recipients will be recognized during the annual Leadership Los Alamos graduation and awards dinner on Friday, May 16, 2025.
